Referees

They've got an impeccable knowledge of the latest rule set. They've got whistles. They've got timers. They've got the power to send skaters to the box, end a jam, or dodge girls sliding across the inside of the track after some crazy hits.

They keep us in line and in bounds — or at least tell us when we're cutting the track.
